Low-emission glazing units are our basic product.
The “Krysztal” Company manufactures a whole range of glazing units from every glass type according to customer needs. They are already a standard piece of equipment of every modern window but today their function does not come down only to reducing thermal energy losses and UV radiation transmittance. Depending on the selected option, glazing units can provide protection against burglary, noise or excessive solar radiation as well.
A glazing unit is a hermetically sealed set consisting of glass panes, spacing frame filled with water vapour absorbing agent and sealing masses ensuring tightness of inter-pane voids and mechanical durability of the whole unit.
Glazing unit advantages:
Significant reduction in heat transmittance in comparison with single-pane glazing. Thanks to the application of modern low-emission glass and inter-pane voids filled with argon we can offer you low-emission glazing units with the heat transmittance coefficient of U = 1.0 which brings energy savings, lower heating costs and optimum temperature in the room.
A good acoustic barrier ensuring improved comfort in the apartment or office due to isolation from the outside noise.
High light transmittance and reduction in UV rays transmittance.
Enhanced user comfort in comparison with old window systems whose inter-pane voids are notorious for having condensation problems in the winter and keeping them clean requires troublesome opening of two-part frames for washing the inside pane surface.
Types of glazing units:
Glazing units with low-emission glass – they reduce thermal energy losses. Glazing unit structure: soft-layer low-emission glass 4mm/Argon/float 4mm, U value = 1.0 [W/m2 x K]
Glazing units with safety glass and anti-burglary
glass – their task is to protect users against injury caused by chips and splinters in case of cracking, smashing or burglary attempt. Safety and anti-burglary glass has a film inside which prevents crushing and getting to the other side in case of burglary hence obviating the need for bars, shutters and external roller blinds. Depending on the structure, we can single out different types of layer glass characterised by different classes of pierce resistance
Glazing units with ornamented
glass – available
in a wide range of patters and colours. It decreases transparency
at the same time providing a sufficient amount of light inside.
It has both decorative and practical function, constituting
a visual barrier in partition walls and doors
Glazing
units with crossbars – crossbars
are on of the most popular methods of decorating glazing units
through dividing the pane surface into smaller sections. We
offer inter-pane crossbars in different
widths and a wide array of colours from RAL colour system;
golden crossbars, veneered with wood imitation overlay and
Viennese crossbars imitating spacing frame.
Glazing
units with reflexive glass – it is clear or tinted
glass covered with a hard layer of metal oxides. It stops 94%
of the ultraviolet radiation thus preventing colour fading
and plastic aging; buildings glazed with reflexive glass gain
in attractiveness and seem to increase surrounding space; it
protects against eye fatigue and improves mental comfort of
people staying in such glazed interiors.
Glazing
units with stained glass – prepared
earlier stained glass can be placed
in glazing unit i.e. bonded with another pane on a distance
frame of suitable width. Stained glass can be also placed inside
the glazing unit between two panes. Glazing units with stained
glass has superior mechanical, chemical and UV radiation resistance.
The aesthetic value and reflections of colourful light ensured
by such glazing units cannot be overestimated.
Acoustic
glazing units – acoustic
glazing units are constructed on
the basis of panes asymmetry, their flexible bonding and application
of muffling gases inside the inter-pane void. Glazing units,
depending on their structure, achieve acoustic performance
between Rw = 28-53 dB. Noise protection is used in those places
where its source cannot be eliminated.
Glazing units with self-cleaning
glass – this
glass is covered from the outside with a special double-action
hard layer. Under the influence of daylight two kinds of chemical
reactions occur in this layer. Firstly, it is photocatalysis.
Natural ultraviolet rays cause the layer to chemically react
with any organic grime appearing on its surface, oxidising and
releasing it even on the most overcast days. Secondly, hydrophilic
properties of this layer cause the glass to attract water. Water
flows down the surface in an even layer without forming separate
droplets. Any specks of grime released during the first stage
are easily and effectively flushed by rain.
